New York-to-Miami: A Weekend Escape

The cold temperatures in New York City have inspired many to make a quick weekend escape to Miami, and we don’t blame you! We’d be ditching the jackets, scarves and sweaters for a mojito on the beach too. Take an evening flight out of JFK or LGA, leaving behind the freezing weather, and enjoy a weekend getaway to Miami. Go ahead, book the flight. We’re waiting for you here at Hilton Cabana Miami Beach.

Friday Night:

After a quick three-and-a-half-hour flight from NYC, you’ve made it safely to Miami. Once you’ve settled into your Miami Beach hotel room, we suggest hitting the town for a nice calm evening. But before you do, grab dinner at L’echon Brasserie, our onsite French restaurant. It’s been quite a long day for you, so make it a chill night. Head to Railroad Blues, a speakeasy bar in Downtown Miami for craft cocktails, beers and live music.

Saturday Morning:

Any New Yorker would agree that Saturday mornings were made for one thing: brunch. But Miami brunch has one distinct advantage: You can head straight to the pool afterward. Decked out in beachwear, devour a tall stack of pancakes and sip unlimited mimosas at any of the best brunch spots in Miami!

Saturday Afternoon:

A trip to Miami Beach wouldn’t be complete without some poolside lounging and an obligatory photo:

Grab a drink and just relax by the pool. We can’t think of a better way to spend your afternoon.

Saturday Evening:

After an afternoon of soaking up the sun, spend your evening at Juvia, a rooftop bar and restaurant in Miami. Juvia offers breathtaking views of the city, outdoor seating, and an exceptional Japanese fusion menu. Here’s a sneak peak of the view, but we suggest checking it out for yourself!

Saturday Night:

If Saturdays are made for brunch, Miami nights are made for having a good time. With so many bars and clubs to choose from, there’s no reason to spend your night in one spot. There are the usual hotspots like LIV, Story, and Mynt if you’re looking to party on a Saturday night. For those looking for something a little more calm, try one of these live music venues in Miami Beach.

Sunday:

Keep it simple on Sunday: Order room service, pack, and go. Though heading to the airport is bitter-sweet, you’ve had quite the weekend getaway visiting Miami. But there’s no need to be sad, another New York to Miami weekend escape lies ahead, we’re sure of it.
