When Art Basel comes to town once a year, there are endless amounts of galleries and pop-up’s to visit in Miami Beach. It’s a time when some of the best art is displayed for thousands to enjoy. When the festivities come to an end that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying the art scene here in Miami Beach. With hundreds of galleries and only 24 hours in a day, we’ve made choosing where to visit a little easier. Here are 5 galleries worth visiting in Miami Beach!

 1. David Castillo Gallery:

Opening it’s doors in 2005, the David Castillo Gallery proudly exhibits mid-career and emerging artists in both the local and international scene. The art featured throughout the gallery focuses on “conceptual curatorial models as they relate to art historical, cultural, and personal investigations of identity.” Artists works such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Louise Bourgeois, John Camberlin and many others can be found lining the walls.

A breathe of fresh air in the art scene, you may need to dedicate a few hours to explore all that Wynwood offers. Every Second Saturday of the month, Wynwood opens its doors to the community wide Art Walk featuring art, music, and refreshments. Make sure you download the map of the galleries at Wynwood, we wouldn’t want you to get lost!

3. Carol Jazzar Gallery:

Housed in a beautiful 1950’s private home and garden, the Carol Jazzar Gallery displays contemporary art across multiple disciplines, including painting, drawing, sculptures, installation, mixed media and performance, focusing on socially relevant art. Admission to the gallery is free, but you’ll have to make sure you schedule some time for a weekend visit. The gallery is closed Monday to Friday.
