How to Celebrate the 4th of July Miami Style

If you’re going to spend 4th of July in Miami Beach, then you’re going to need to get out in the sun, eat some good food, and hang out til the sky turns dark for a vibrant fireworks extravaganza. Whether you want to be partying all day or taking it easy, here are our top picks on where to celebrate 4th of July Miami style.

For the Partier:

Start the day on the party train, well boat, actually, and head to the South Beach Lady Yacht for a breakfast yacht party down the Miami River and around the Miami South Channel. Local DJ’s will be spinning beats from 8am on, while passengers eat breakfast, drink booze, and dance. This early morning soiree 4th of July in Miami Beach may not be exactly what the Founding Fathers had in mind, but it’s certainly one way to start your holiday off strong.

After the yacht docks, head over to South Beach for the  World Crawl. Get wet and start the party at daytime pool parties at the Catalina Hotel and Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach. Follow your time in the sun by cutting the rug and keeping on the gravy train at Senor Frogs and Automatic Slims among other hot Miami Beach night clubs.

For Families:

Spend a leisurely morning by the beach before taking the family to the Cabana Grill. Eat by the outdoor bar or take your meal to go. Nothing says America like a good old fashioned cheeseburger with fries, so be sure to try the Grill’s Cabana Burger topped off with swiss cheese, heirloom tomato, thousand island, and a brioche bun.

After lunch, either stay on the beach for more fun in the sun, or take the family for a walk around Miami Beach’s historic Art Deco District and check out the historic colorful buildings. The Fairchild Tropical Botanic garden in nearby Coral Gables is another family friendly destination to spend a few hours on your fourth of july at Hilton Cabana.

For Everyone:

Bringing together wild partiers and laid back families alike, the fireworks are a part of the holiday that everyone can enjoy. Visitors of the annual Miami Beach Fire on the Fourth festival enjoy free music and family friendly activities  before a stunning display of pyrotechnics shot off over the Atlantic Ocean.Grab a towel or a beach chair and pull up on the beach to make this 4th of July in Miami Beach one to remember.
